A wonderful weekend in Dieppe

Dieppe has always been a popular short hop destination for us, living in Eastbourne, East Sussex and just 10 miles from the crossing at Newhaven, Dieppe is closer than ever.

Dieppe Dieppe

The only downside is the four hour crossing, although we did opt for an inside crossing on the late evening crossing (£45 each way for a small car and 2 occupants) which I would strongly advise.

On this occasion it was a rushed decision to go, so we had struggled to make a booking as nearly all major hotel booking websites make it almost impossible to book on the day of departure, so when we landed in Dieppe in the early hours, we were very lucky to come across the Hotel Aguado (30 Boulevard de Verdun)

It is full of foreigners, but that also means there are people from all over the world to talk to and have a good time with. The drinks aren’t cheap but they’re at an ok price and they’re pretty tasty. Read more…
